花札を題材にしたゲームはずっと出したかったんですけど「対戦相手に勝利しながら進んでいく」というシンプルな内容をどう面白くしていこうか、という取り組みに20年くらい答えを出せずにいました。2024年に『Balatro』が発売されて、それが本当に面白かったので、「これは元々趣味もかねて長年作っていた花札ゲームに応用できる」と思ったのが『花札の虎』の大きな転機になりました。
